Common Name Horich's Mormodes [German Orchid Collector 1900's]

Found in Nicaragua and Costa Rica in wet Caribbean slope montane forests at elevations of 390 to 800 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with oblong-conical, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying plicate, elliptic leaves that blooms in the winter without leaves on a basal, to 8" [20 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered, racemose inflorescence with 5 distant bracts and membraneous, triangular-ovate, acute floral bracts carrying fragrant flowers.
