Found in Colombia as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with robust, erect, longitudinally rugose-sulcate in time pseudobulbs carrying 5 to 7, lanceolate, acuminate, attenuate below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a lateral [almost anywhere on the side of the pseudobulb], ascending, 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
