Found in Amazonas, Para' and Matto Grosso states of Brazil as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with oblong-fusiform, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying several plicate, deciduous leaves that blooms in the spring and again in the fall on a ascending to horizontal, 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence arising from the lower third of the pseudobulb.
