Common Name The Slim-Lipped Mormodes

This hot to warm growing epiphytic species is found in Costa Rica at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths and carrying several plicate leaves that blooms in the fall on a to 20" [50 cm] long, 5 to 6 flowered, racemose inflorescence carrying scented flowers.

If this species is correctly identified, it proves that this species is not a synonym of M buccinator as many cite.
