Found in central Taiwan in forests in damp locales at elevations of 1000 to 3000 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a white, tinged with red stem carrying several, abaxially grayish green, adaxially green, ovate to orbicular-ovate, 3 main veined, slightly undulate margins, acute apically, obtuse based into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring through summer on an erect, slender, pubescent, to 1.2" [3 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, shorter than the ovary, glabrous, slighly ciliate margins floral bracts.
