Common Name or Meaning The Graceful Myrmechis

Found in Sumatra, Java and the Philippines in dark, damp primary forests at elevations of 1800 to 3000 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a creeping, becoming apically erect stem carrying 3 to 12, ovate, cordate, acute, dark green with a lighter mid-rib, finely undulate margin leaves that blooms on an erect, terminal, finely pubescent, 1.2" [3 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with a sterile, reddish bract midway and triangular, acute, concave, brownish floral bracts.
