Found in Sarawak Borneo on boulders at elevations of 2000 to 2350 meters as a medium to large sized, cold growing lipthophyte with slender, longitudinally rugose, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, stiff, coriaceous, 7 to 9 nerved, lanceolate to linear, acute, narrrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a synanthous, peduncle 4.8 to 8" [12 to 20 cm] long, rachis 5.6 to 12" [14 to 30 cm] long, 25 to 41 flowered inflorescence with ovate, apcailly truncate floral bracts.
