Found in Junin Peru as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with small, subglobose, indistinctly compressed pseduobulbs enveloped by 2 to 4 membraneous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear-lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute, fleshy, channeled, narrowing below into the conduplicate, reddish base leaf that blooms on a lateral, basal, peduncle with several distant, minute bracts, racemose to tardily paniculate, to 2.8" [7 cm] long, loosely 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence carrying small, membraneous, whitish yellow flowers
