Common Name Smith's Neottia - In China Cha Chun wu hai lan

Found in southwestern Sichuan and southern Shaanxi provinces of China in thickets and forests at elevations around 1500 to 3300 meters as a miniature to small sized, cold growing leafless terrestrial with a slender reddish brown stem with 3 to 5 tubular sheaths that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, rachis 2.4 to 3.2" 6 to 8 cm] long, papillose pubescent, 15 to 25 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate floral bracts.
