Common Name Smith's Neottia - In China Chuan xi dui ye lan

Found in northwestern Sichuan province of China in forests at elevations around 3900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender stem enveloped by 2 sheaths towards the base and carrying 2, opposite, near the middle of the stem, sessile, ovate to ovate-orbicular, obtuse to subacute, rounded to broadly cuneate below into the base leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, pubescent, .6 to 1.6" [1.5 to 4 cm] long, laxly 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate floral bracts.
