Common Name The Alternate Leaved Neottia
Flower Size .15 to .2" [3 to 5 mm]
Found in the the eastern Himalayas at elevations around 3000 to 3500 meters as a small sized, cold growing terrestrial orchid with a slender, glabrous stem with a single basal, blunt, oblanceolate sheath and carrying 2, alternate to subopposite, obovate-elliptic, at the apex of the stem leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, puberulous, .8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] long, distantly 6 to 9 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts
