Common Name The Large Tongued Nervilia
Flower Size .4 to 1.6" [1 to 4 cm]
Found in Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanmar and Vietnam in humus of quercus forests in valleys at elevations of 1600 to 2200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a slender, glabrous stem enveloped by 2 distant clasping sheaths and carrying an orbicular-cordate, entire margins, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence with a small, linear-lanceolate, acute floral bract.
