Common Name The Apiculate Nervilia [refers to the lip apex]

Found in New Guinea in damp forests at elevations around 200 meters as a small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a subglobose tuber giving rise to a reniform-cordate, acute to apiculate, puberulous above, 12 nerved, shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, terete, glabrous two flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acute, glabrous floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the green leaves have brown spots on the upper surface and flowers are yellow green with a white lip.
