Found in New Guinea at elevations around 100 to 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with a globose tuber giving rise to a reniform-cordate, shortly acuminate, glabrous, long, sulcate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, terete, secund, laxly 4 to 7 flowered inflorescence with a pendulous, lanceolate-elliptic floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the green leaves have brown spots on the upper surface and flowers are yellow green with a white lip.
