Found in New Guinea in damp forests at elevations around 250 meters as a mini-miniature to just small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a globose tuber giving rise to a reniform-cordate, apiculate, somewhat narrowed, glabrous, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, strict to substrict, terete, glabrous single flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are greenish white with a white lip.
