Found in Peru and Bolivia in tropical wet forests at elevations around 240 to 320 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical, flattened pseudobulbs enveloped basally by distichous, foliaceous sheaths and carrying subcoriaceous, subrectangular, green elliptic-oblong, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaves that blooms in the summer through winter on a basal, pendent, racemose, to 12" [30 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
