Found in western Ecuador and Junin Peru in wet montane forests at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovoid-ellipsoid, oblique, complanate, sulcate with age pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a pair of scarious sheaths and carrying a single, elliptic, attenuate to the conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a pendent, racemose, terete, many flowered inflorescence.
