Found in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Samoa and Vanuatu in lowland and montane forests at elevations of 450 to 1450 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with erect, clustered stems carrying, laxly 6, erect-patent, linear, sharply acute leaves that blooms in the winter, spring and fall on an erect, cylindrical, rather dense, longer than the leaves, [2.6" [6.5 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with lanceolate, acumiante, as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying small, non-resupinate flowers
