Found in northern Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 1100 to 2100 meters as a cool to cold growing as an epiphyte with a erect stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheaths carrying linear, acute, conduplicate, basally clasping leaveas that blooms on a terminal, erect, arching, cylindrical, densely many flowered inflorescence.
