Found in Bangladesh, the western Himalayas, India, the eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Yunnan province of China, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia in forests or thickets at elevations of 600 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with 4 to 5, imbricating, ensiform, weakly falcate, acute, fleshy, sessile leaves that blooms in the later summer and earlier fall on a terminal, subdensely many flowered inflroescence completely enveloped by scarious bracts and has scarious, lanceolate, acute to acuminate floral bracts.
