Common Name Clarke's Oberonia [English Botanist and Orchid Collector in India 1800's]

Found in Assam in the Khassia Hills at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a very short stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying 3 to 5, linear-ensiform, acute to obtuse leaves that blooms in the fall on adnate to the uppermost leaf, terminal, erect, filiform, 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence carrying flowers held in whorls.
