Found in New Guinea in thick moss at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to a somewhat flexuous stem carrying 7 to 10, erect-patent to suberect,free part linear-ligulate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a cylindrical, densely many flowered inflorescence with patent, lanceolate, acute to acuminate, carinate dorsally, subdentate margin, hyaline, eqaul to the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are yellow .
