Found in New Guinea at elevations around 700 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to an almosty nonexistent stem carrying 4 to 6, erect to suberect, linear-ensiform, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, thin, 8" [20 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, lacerate-dentate margin, equal to the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are pale brown with a green lip.
