Found in Queensland Australia on sheltered rocky slopes, open forest, scrub, mangroves and rainforest as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a stem enveloped by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying 4 t o6, green to reddish, fleshy, acute leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, arching to pendulous, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with towards the base whorls of bristle like bracts and carrying whorls of 8 to 10 flowers.
