Found in New Guinea at elevations around 300 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to a very short, erect, subflexuous, laxly leafy stem carrying 5 to 7, erect to suberect, linear-lanceolate, acute, somewhat subfalcate, glabrous leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect to suberect, 2.8" [7 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acumiate, glabrous, subdentate margin, equal to the ovary floral bracts and carrying the non-resupinate flowers in whorls.

Schlechter states that the sepals and petals are green, the lip is brown with a darker spot towards the base.
