Found in Java, New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu in moist forests at elevations of 310 to 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with hanging stem completely enveloped by short leaf sheaths carrying short, imbricate, shortly triangular leaves [much like Lockhartia] that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, apparently sessile, to 4.4" [11 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
