Found in India at elevations of 900 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a stem enveloped cpmpletely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying articulate basally, ensiform, acute leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a terminal, arcuate to straight, , flattened peduncle to 7.2" [18 cm] long, rachis to 10" 25 cm] long, with a definite sterile section at the apex, many flowered inflorescence
