Found in Yunnan province of China, Thailand and Vietnam at elevations of 1500 to 2100 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying several, equitant, linear, oval in cross section, acute leaves that blooms in the later spring and early summer on a pendant, to 6" [15 cm] long, cylindrical, densely many flowered inflorescence
