Common Name The Broad Petal Oberonia - In China Kuo ban yuan wei lan

Found in the Chinese Himalayas and Thailand in forests at elevations of 1500 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 5 to 7, subbasal, distichous-equitant, laterally compressed, broadly linear, slightly falcate leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, peduncel subterete, 4 to 7.2" [10 to 17 cm] long, many subulate bracted, not winged, rachis 3 to 4" [7.5 to 10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate floral bracts.
