Found in New Guinea in thick moss at elevations around 800 meters as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to a strict to subflexuous stem carrying erect to suberect, obliquely linear-ligulate, acute, leaves that blooms in the fall on an elongate, cylindrical, 9.2" [23 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are pale green with a yellow anther.
