Found in Tibet, Yunnan and Fujian provinces of China, Assam and Bangladesh at elevations around 1000 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an erect stem carrying 5 to 9, alternate, linear, laterally compressed, acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, 1.2 to 2.6" [3 to 6.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, long acuminate floral bracts and carrying yellow to greenish yellow, verticillate flowers.
