Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Vietnam and Taiwan in evergreen forests along streams in very wet forests at elevations of 250 to 1250 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with thin stems enveloped completely by imbricate leaf sheath bases carrying 5 or so, different sized, rather narrow, scarsely diverging from one another and curving inward, distichous-equitant, laterally compressed, acuminate to slightly curve-tipped leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, to 4" [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong floral bracts and [2 to 3 mm] between each whorl of flowers .
