Found in New Guinea at elevations around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a very short rhizome giving rise to a very short, erect, densely leafy stem carrying 4 to 6, erect-patent to suberect, lanceolate-ligulate, acute, falcate-oblique leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect to suberect, to to 1.6" [4 cm] long, cylindrical, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate, apiculate, densely pectinate-dentate margin, dorsal muricate-papillose, equal to the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the very small flowers are a orange brown.
