Found in Bontoc Island of the Philippines as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a leafy stem completely enveloped by imbricating leaf sheath bases and carrying nearly pendulous, sword-shaped, thick conduplicate, acute, tapering to a point , very flexible leaves that blooms on an elongate, to 8.8" [22 cm] long, cylindrical, many flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, substaceous floral bracts and carrying the flowers in tight whorls.
