Found in New Guinea on trees in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 350 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with distichous, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, subfalcate leaves that bloom in the winter spring and summer on an axillary, 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] long, many flowered, racemose inflorescence with acuminate, lanceolate floral bracts that area slightly longer than the ovary. .
