Found in New Guinea at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a conspicuously elongate rhizome giving rise to an erect, distant, short, densely leafy stem carrying 4 to 5, linear, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, short, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, dorsally carinate, more or less shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are orange-red.
