Found in northeastern Queensland Australia on sheltered rocky slopes near streams, open forest, rainforest, coastal scrub and mangroves at elevations of sealevel to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a short stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheth bases carrying 5 to 7, sessile, green to reddish, ensiform to falcate, acute, apiculate leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, suberect to pendent, to 5.6" [14 cm] long, densely many flowered inflroescence with bristle like bracts and carrying widely spreading often reflexed flowers held in whorls of 8 to 10.
