Found in Malaysia, Vietnam and southern Taiwan at elevations around 900 to 1250 meters in evergreen forests along streams as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a stem enveloped by leaf bases and carrying several, distichous-equitant, laterally compressed, ensiform, size variable, not articulate basally, acuminate to slightly curve-tipped leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, to 4" [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with oblong floral bracts and [2 to 3 mm] between each whorl of flowers
