Found in New Guinea at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to an erect, flexuous, densely leafy stem carrying 4 to 5, thickly fleshy, linear-falcate, acute, glabrous leaves that blooms in the spring on an arcuate, thick, always falcate, to 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, dentate margin, more or less equal to the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are brown-red.
