Common Name Segawa's Oberonia [Japanese Botanist 1900's] - In China Chi Chun yuan wei lan

Found in Taiwan in moist broad leaved forests along streams at elevations around 1000 to 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying 5 to 8, sub-basal, narrowly ensiform, fleshy, jointed basally leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, terete, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, floral bracts and carrying whorled flowers.
