Found in Taiwan in broad leaved forests at elevations of 400 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to short stems enveloped completely by imbricating leaf sheath bases carrying 3 to 5, distichous-equitant, laterally compressed, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, fleshy, obliquely articulate basally leaves that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect-arching, .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with ovate floral bracts.
