Found in New Guinea at elevations around 300 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to an elongate, flexuous, several leaved stem carrying erect-patent to suberect, obliquely triangular-lanceolate, acute to obtuse leaves that blooms in the fall on an shortly pedunculate, thin, to 4" [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, a bit shorter or a bit longer than the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are yellow with a brown lip.
