Common Name or Meaning The Miniscule Octarrhena

Found in southern Vietnam in primary and old broad-leaved evergreen humid, submontane forests at elevations of 950 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with an abbreviate stem enveloped completely by 3 to 7, imbricate, equitant, distichous, articulate basally, fleshy, subterete, laterally compressed, ensiform, oblong-lanceolate to broadly lanceolate, mostly broadest at the abse, narrowing towards the triangular-acute apex leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, arising from a leaf axil, almost straight to slightly curved, smoewhat secund, light green, peduncle indistinctly longitudinally ribbed, stout, erect, .08 to .2" [2 to 5 mm] long, naked or with 1 to 2 small rtiangular sterile bracts, rachis straight, .08 to .2" [2 to 5 mm] long, 4 to 18 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate, single veined, light green to almost white becoming dull yellowish, membraneous flral bracts and carrying resupinate, subsessile, campanulate flowers that do not open well.
