Found in Minas Gerais and Rio de Janiero states of Brazil in primary forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect, woody stem enveloped by sheaths and a terete, light green leaf that blooms in the fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the leaf base
Part of the SECTION Kinetoglossum with O campos-portoi and O flabelifera which are distinguished by the terete leaves, plants to 8” [20 cm] tall and a lip that is loosely articulate to the column foot.
