Found in Bolivar Venezuela at elevations around 2250 to 2800 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing lithophyte with erect, stems enveloped almost completely by 3 to 4 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, ercet to spreading, purple or green purple, thickly coriaceous, linear-lanceolate, to oblong-lanceolate, acute, sessile and attenuate into the base leaf that blooms in the winter and late spring on an erect, short, 2 flowered inflorescence carrying white or cream colored flowers.
