Common Name The Small Octomeria

Found in southern Venezuela and Roraima state of Brazil at elevations around 1800 to 2400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte with erect stems enveloped almost completely by 2 to 3, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, fleshy-coriaceous erect to spreading, linear-oblong to linear-lanceolate, longly sulcate, acute, and sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall, winter and spring on numerous, fasciculate, short, single to 2 flowered inflorescence carrying small, transluscent yellow brown membraneous flowers.
