Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil as an epiphyte

Part of the SECTION Planifolia, O ochroleuca alliance with O estrellensis, O itatiaiae, O minuta, O ochroleuca, O rhodoglossa, O montana and O setigera. Plants in this alliance are under 2” [5 cm] in size and have long-acuminate sepals and petals.
