Found in New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu in montane scrub and montane forests at elevations around 600 to 1150 meters as a mini-miniature to to small sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect leafy stem enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths carrying ovate, acute, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, shortly pubescent, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying white, pubescent flowers.
