Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia in evergreen hill forests in deep shade at elevations of 750 to 1560 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a decumbent, stout stem carrying 4 to 8, scattered along the stem, green above, paler light green beneath 3 veined, ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, sometimes mucronate, slightly oblique, narrowing below into the channeled, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring through summer on a pubescent, erect, to 4" [10 cm] long, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with a single, acuminate, pubescent bracts and lanceolate, acumiante, thinly pubescent floral bracts.
