Common Name or Meaning The Densely Flowered Cyrtochilum

Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador in paramo at elevations around 2600 to 3500 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with oval to rounded, compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2 apical, lanceolate, very narrow, conduplicate below into the petiole-like base leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, erect, 4' [120 cm] long overall, peduncle 28 to 32" [70 to 80 cm] long, paniculate, rachis 12 to 14" [30 to 35 cm] long, severalflowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying fleshy flowers.
